The Tsushima Strait is a strait between the Korean Peninsula and Kyushu, the furthest west of the four largest islands of Japan. Approximately 60 miles in width, it connects the East China Sea and the Sea of Japan. The Strait of Tsushima was the site of a great naval battle between Russia and Japan during the Russo-Japanese War.
