- 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt

- 2 tablespoons white corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Add chocolate to milk. Cook slowly until smooth and blended,
while stirring. Add sugar, salt, and corn syrup. Stir until sugar
is dissolved and mixture boils. Continue cooking until mixture
forms a very soft ball when a little is dropped in cold water.
Add butter and vanilla. Cool to lukewarm. Beat until thick enough
to spread. Makes enough to frost a loaf cake about 8" x
8" x 2". |
