GERMAN SALAD DRESSING

  • 1 pint milk
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • ½ teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 well-beaten egg
  • 3 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
Bring milk to a boil in double boiler. Mix flour to a smooth paste with 2 tablespoons cold water and add to milk, blending well. Add sugar, butter, celery salt, salt and pepper as desired, and egg. Add mustard and vinegar. Beat thoroughly.
