| ORANGE CAKE |

- 3 eggs
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 cups flour
|
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup orange juice
|
|
|
Separate eggs. Cream yolks, shortening, and sugar together. Mix
and sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to first mixture
alternately with orange juice. Beat egg whites and stir into
mixture. Pour onto 3 greased layer cake pans. Bake at 400°
F. for 20 to 25 minutes. Spread orange
frosting between layers and on top of cake. |
