Beat egg until yolk and white are partially mixed, or for 1 minute
at low speed in electric mixer. Add sugar gradually; beat mixture
until it is very smooth. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt
together; fold into first mixture. Add nuts, apple, and vanilla;
blend well. Pour into well-greased 9-inch pie pan. Bake at 350°
F. for 35 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream. The
pudding will rise during the first part of the baking. Do not
be alarmed when it settles. Serves 6. |
