PRUNE PUDDING

  • 4 stiffly beaten egg whites
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 15 stewed prunes
  • 4 teaspoons cream of tartar
Beat sugar and salt into egg whites. Mash prunes, adding cream of tartar. Beat into first mixture. Turn into buttered baking dish. Bake at 350° F. for 20 minutes. Serve hot or cold with whipped cream. Serves 4.
