| STEAMED CHOCOLATE
PUDDING |

- 1 tablespoon shortening
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1½ cups flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
|
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ cup milk
- 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
|
|
|
Cream shortening, sugar, and egg together. Mix and sift flour,
baking powder, and salt and add alternately with the milk to
the first mixture. Beat thoroughly. Add melted chocolate and
mix well. Fill greased pudding mold ¾ full. Cover tightly
and steam 1 hour. Serve with whipped cream. Serves 4. |
