Seeley Booth, played by David Boreanaz, is purportedly a member of the well-known Booth Family and, as such, is related to John Wilkes Booth, the American stage actor who assassinated President Abraham Lincoln.

After discovering six orphaned direwolf pups, Eddard Stark advocates killing the pups out of mercy, but when his son Jon suggests that it may be an omen (the direwolf is the symbol of House Stark), he agrees to let each of his children raise one of the pups.
