In "Big Little Man", Sam the Butcher explains to Bobby, who has a complex over his diminutive size, that he had the same problem as a child. He weighed only four pounds when he was born, and his father wanted to send him back. He even flunked out of kindergarten. In fact, he was so short that the teacher always marked him absent.

Peter meets a new transfer student named Arthur Owens, who looks remarkably similar to him except that Arthur wears glasses. Peter convinces Arthur to pretend to be him to play a gag on his family.

Although Susan (Cindy) was a blonde in real life, she wasn't blonde enough for producers. To get the perfect complexion, Olsen's hair was bleached regularly. The routine came to a stop, however, when the child's hair started falling out in season two.

Alice grew up in the same neighborhood as the Bradys, graduating from Westdale High School, the same school the kids attend.

Cindy tries breeding two rabbits whom she names Romeo and Juliet so she can sell the babies, but her plan falls apart when she learns that both rabbits are male.

Although she chooses to be a stay-at-home mom, Carol is much more than that". She's a freelance writer, a sculptor, a political activist, and a singer. She also organizes plays and PTA events while keeping dinner on the table.

In "The Honeymoon", Fluffy is chased around the wedding by the Brady boys' pet dog, Tiger, which causes a lot of mayhem. Mike and Carol get into an argument about each other's pets and Cindy is later seen crying over the cat. After the events of this episode, Fluffy is never seen or mentioned again.

Greg makes Peter pretend to be older so they can go on a double date. To give himself "some age", Peter wears a fake moustache.

All of the other kids conspire to cover up what Peter has done and assist in gluing the vase together. The damage nevertheless comes to light when water trickles between the vase's glued cracks and onto the dinner table.

Barry Williams, Mike Lookinland, and Maureen McCormick were all excellent vocalists, while Eve Plumb and Susan Olsen could both carry a tune, but Christopher Knight was encouraged to lip-sync while the other kids sang in the musical episodes. Asked about the most embarassing thing he ever had to do on the show, Knight said, "Singing, by far. It was traumatic."
