The entire office travels to Lake Scranton for a Survivor-like competition, except for Toby, whom Michael will not allow to attend, much to Toby's disappointment because he was expecting to see Pam in a bikini.

Attempting to prove his survival skills, Michael instructs Dwight to abandon him deep in the forest with nothing but a knife and a roll of duct tape. Dwight, who stays behind and watches from a distance, is forced to come out of hiding to save Michael when he tries to eat wild mushrooms.

When Karen attempts to lure Stanley away from Scranton by offering him a pay raise, Michael decides to retaliate by stealing the branch's industrial copier.

Mose Schrute lives with Dwight at the Schrute family beet farm.

Pam is embarrassed when she is the only person at corporate wearing a Halloween costume, but she can't take off her Charlie Chaplin costume because the mustache was applied with grease paint and removing the hat makes her look like Adolf Hitler.

Upset at Toby's return to the Scranton branch, Michael buys two pounds of marijuana from a pair of Vance Refrigeration workers and hides it in Toby's desk--then tips off the police about possible narcotics in the office. But when the police arrive to search Toby's desk, Michael's "marijuana" turns out to be Caprese salad.
