When winter comes, Thumper tries to teach Bambi how to skate on the frozen pond, but Bambi is wobbly again.

Bambi was the first Disney animated feature that didn't have any humans on screen.

Thumper teaches Bambi a few words, including "flower" which Bambi accidentally uses to name a young skunk. Thumper tries to correct Bambi but the skunk says, "That's alright. He can call me Flower if he wants to. I don't mind."

One day his mother takes him to find food, but she is shot and killed by a hunter, leaving Bambi all alone.
