Imagine Dragons have the top three rock songs of the 2010s on the Billboard charts, "Believer", "Thunder", and "Radioactive".

In 2010, Train's frontman fell sick just prior to the Bite of Las Vegas Festival. Imagine Dragons, who at the time were still playing to a lot of empty lounges in Vegas, were called to fill in for them and performed in front of a crowd of more than 26,000 people.

On December 12, 2014, Imagine Dragons posted on social media a request that fans look around Las Vegas Valley for hidden clues to upcoming songs. The band gave 13 fans puzzle pieces of the artwork for the album. When combined, the puzzle pieces revealed the cover art and album title. On the cover of the album were a set of numbers that provided specific coordinates to prizes hidden in the Nevada desert, including an autographed guitar, drumsticks, Polaroid pictures, and a master pass for free concert tickets for the entire tour.

"Imagine Dragons" is actually an anagram, although the original words that make up the anagram have yet to be revealed. Even the band's family members don't know where the name comes from! "At this point, it's been built up so much that anything we say is going to be a letdown," the band has said. "We might just leave it up to everyone's imaginations. They probably have better guesses than the real answer."

"Trying to work on myself this year, but still feel like the same crappy person. So I decided to get a bunch of tattoos," McKee wrote on Instagram. "Now I feel like the same crappy person with some beautiful body art that he can be proud of."

Lead guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee, and drummer Daniel Platzman all attended Berklee College of Music. Lead singer Dan Reynolds attended Brigham Young University where he studied communications, marketing, and music.

Reynolds has stated that the song is about his relationship with his parents and explained that while "at times it's been strained and difficult ... in the end, 'I Bet My Life' celebrates the bond that we still hold on to."

Bassist Ben McKee enjoys spicy food and knitting. In fact, he once revealed on Twitter: "Dude. Sweet! I still have $3 in late charges at the Vegas library from some sock knitting patterns I borrowed once."
