In 1972, Roger Staubach led the Dallas Cowboys to their first Super Bowl victory with a 24-3 win over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl VI. During the game, the Cowboys set two Super Bowl records -- rushing for 252 yards and preventing the Dolphins from scoring a single touchdown.
On October 27, 2002, Emmitt Smith broke Walter Payton's NFL record for career rushing yards. Payton had retired with 16,726 rushing yards. Smith finished his 15-year career with an amazing 18,355 rushing yards! He also compiled 164 touchdowns, another NFL record.
